I recently helped throw a baby shower for my best friend and thought id share the details.
I emailed her some fun shower themes and she picked the She’s Going To Pop! one, which i was excited about. It was just a ‘sprinkle’ so we kept everything low key and didnt go crazy with anything.
Here’s some of the pictures and details:
The food table had balloons and hanging balls above it-
There was lots of snacky stuff (fruit, veggies) but also themed food…
like different flavored popcorn (with paper cones)-
plus candy, desserts you can pop into your mouth (cheesecake bites, min muffins, creme puffs etc) and of course, pop-
Here’s my sweet friend with her daughter (in the middle) and her sister (on the left) and i. Her sister threw the shower with me-
We played two games. The first was an old wives tale game which i thought was fun since she doesn't know the sex.
The second was a paper plate game. I had each person put a paper plate on their head and one by one draw the following without taking the plate off their head to peek: A crib, a baby in the crib, the baby holding a bottle, a rocking chair somewhere else in the room and a mobile over the crib. It was so funny to see everyone's drawing! I had Laurie pick which one she thought actually looked the most like a real drawing-
I also printed out these precious Wishes For Baby papers for each person to fill out. And Laurie read them one by one. Such a sweet keepsake.
Then was presents. This will be her fourth child so she had alot of worn-out or broken things that needed to be replaced! She got some great stuff.
Lastly i made these bubble bath favors. I bought these little glass containers for a dollar each at Joann’s. And i filled each with two different kinds of bubble baths and made little tags on the computer that said “Thanks For Popping By!”. I also bought two board books from Barnes and Noble that were both bath/bubble themed and set them up on the same table. The fresh flowers were the prizes-
It was such a nice time and i know my deserving friend was so thankful for everything.
I just threw Connor a small ‘art’ themed party that i will posting very soon too!
You did a great job! What a fun looking party.
